Create a commercially practical, technically sufficient and economically sound design for an assigned product or unit thereof, based on predetermined mechanical characteristics, performance requirements and weight and dimensional limits. Determining the nature and working relationship of the various elements of design based upon a new and original arrangement of mechanical details, and preparing initial design layouts.
Follow up and assist in the preparation of final layout and working drawings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accountability:
Create a commercially practical, technically sufficient and economically sound design for an assigned product or unit thereof.
Developing the various elements of design based upon a new and original arrangement of mechanical details to assure product integrity and acceptance.
Make engineering changes on all designs on schedule to assure maximum coordination of release from other engineering disciplines and actual production on date planned.
Maintain design adherence taking into consideration the cost, operation, reliability, manufacturability, adjustment, assembly, weight, installation, clearances, serviceability, standardization and adherence to industry standards and parameters to assure acceptable feasibility and integrity of product.
Lead, guide and direct, but not limited to, senior designer, designers and drafters.
Interpret and set design objectives, correlating and assisting in the development of design and drawings to assure adherence to complete model concept to assure maximum efficiency of complete company product or unit thereof and help in the flow of information from group to group.
Maintain design liaison with new or revised parts through the various stages of manufacture and/or experimental fabrication or test, interpreting design requirements and practicality of developed design and making modifications necessary to assure engineering soundness.
Provide initial design layouts and follow up and assist in the preparation of final or working drawings of a product or unit thereof to scale and complete to the point that detail and assembly drawings can be effectively generated from it.
Maintain a complete uniform and up-to-date record of all projects and drawings which have been completed.
Acceptability of product with design parameters.
Status of release schedule.
Balance compromise adherence to parameters.
Acceptability of design.
Maintain level of liaison.
Ability of create design parameters will now exist.
Quality of design.
Adequate background information shown to ensure quality of design.
Clarity of design: Pipes, rods or other parts of vehicle shown in true view projected from views as shown in installed position on vehicle.
Part numbers of existing parts required for installation or background shown.
Adequate project drawing status information.
Qualifications:
College degree in mechanical engineering or related degree.
Hand-eye coordination.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Experience:
College degree in mechanical engineering or related degree.
Two (2) years of experience with proficiency in the specialty vehicle or truck and bus chassis manufacturing field.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
